Description
Bridge No. 42 on the Union Canal in Linlithgow was designed by engineer Hugh Baird around 1820. It features a segmental arch and is constructed from cream-colored squared, coursed, and stugged sandstone rubble, with ashlar coping. The keystone of the bridge has a number inscribed on it.
