Description

Westerpark is a late 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical villa that has been subdivided. It is constructed of cream stugged sandstone rubble, with coursed ashlar on the northern (entrance) elevation and ashlar dressings. The villa features a base and string course, chamfered reveals to the windows, overhanging bracketed eaves, and decorative brattishing.

On the northern (entrance) elevation, there is a central architraved doorpiece with a consoled cornice, a fanlit door, and a window above with a panelled apron and acroteria. To the left, there are bipartite windows at both the ground and first floors. To the right, a full-height canted window with a panelled apron and a piended roof topped with a finial is present.

The eastern (side) elevation has two bays, featuring a window at both the ground and first floors in the centre, and another window at the ground floor to the left. The southern (rear) elevation consists of three bays, including a single-storey service wing that is dry dashed with a piended roof to the right, a door on the right return, and a window on the southern face. There is a round-headed stair window in the centre, which has been blocked, flanked by two windows.

The western (side) elevation also has two bays with a modern forestair. There is a window at the ground floor to the right and a door inserted at the first floor, with a window to the left.

The northern face features plate glass sash and case windows, while the other elevations have four-pane windows. The roof is a grey slate piended platform roof, with sandstone corniced and coped end stacks and a stack at the rear.

Adjacent to the villa, there is a coach house located on the north-south axis to the east. It has a rectangular plan, is harled, and features rendered dressings. The gabled northern face has a segmental carriage arch that has been altered with a modern door, and a round-headed opening above with a boarded shutter. The western side face has two bays, including a window and a door, while the southern face has a findow. The coach house also has a grey slate roof.
