Description
These two prominent gatepiers mark the entrance to Kinnell House on the South Drive and are a significant feature of the approach to the house. Dating from the 18th century, they are circular and constructed from rubble stone, topped with flat surfaces and ball finials. The gatepiers are part of a group of buildings of group value that includes the first set of Urn Gatepiers on West Drive, the Kinnell Urn Gatepiers on West Drive, the Lion Gatepiers on West Drive, Yellow Cottage, Kinnell House itself including the Walled Garden and Ancillary Buildings, Kinnell House Steading, and the Kinnell House Ice House.
