Description
The K6 telephone box, located in The Square in the village of Gartmore, is a notable example of this distinctive and widely recognized design. Designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, these telephone kiosks were produced from 1936. The box is made of cast iron and features three sides of lying-pane glazing with narrow margin lights, along with a blind cast-iron panel at the rear. Each side has a segmental-headed shape, and the roof is saucer-domed.
