Description

The K6 telephone box at Kilmun Pier is an important part of the group of buildings in this area and represents a distinctive and well-known design. Designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, these telephone kiosks were produced from 1936 and are made of cast iron. The box features three sides of lying-pane glazing with narrow margin lights, and a blind cast-iron panel at the back. Each side has a segmental-headed shape, and the roof is saucer-domed.
