Description
The walled garden at Ardvorlich is a notable example of a walled garden, featuring a relatively unusual lozenge or extended octagon shape. Likely dating to the early 19th century, the garden has an elongated octagonal plan with longer sides facing north and south. The walls are approximately 2 meters high, constructed of rubble with flat copes. Along the north wall, there is a short range of timber and brick greenhouses from the early 20th century. Access to the garden is provided through single boarded doors to the south and west, and a boarded gate to the north. Additionally, there is a stone sundial set on a later stepped concrete pedestal, featuring a circular shaft and square table.
