Description
The statue of John Brown, created by Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm in 1883, is a full-height bronze sculpture of Queen Victoria's servant. The statue depicts a kilted figure holding a cap in hand. It is situated on a granite outcrop in the woods to the southeast of Balmoral Castle, behind Baile-na-Coille. The statue stands on an inscribed pedestal, which has a bronze base that includes the sculptor's name and the date of creation.
