Description
Nethy Bridge is a three-span bridge designed by Thomas Telford, built between 1815 and 1820. It features a slightly hump-backed profile and is constructed from pinned granite rubble. The bridge has tooled granite shallow segmental arch rings that spring from squared granite abutments. It includes stumpy triangular cutwaters and a tooled parapet cope. The approaches are splayed, leading to low square terminal piers topped with shallow pyramidal caps. The spans of the bridge measure 24 feet, 36 feet, and 24 feet.
