Description
This is an 1826 manse built for Tomintoul Parish Church, designed by Thomas Telford. It is a single-storey building arranged in a shallow U-shape, with five bays. The manse is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted pointing, and features tooled dressings. The side and rear elevations are harled. The front features a central doorway flanked by later additions of canted bay windows. The windows are mostly 4-pane sash windows, and the roof is covered in Tomintoul slate, with corniced ridge stacks. Additions have been made to the rear of the original structure. A rubble front retaining wall incorporates cast-iron spearhead railings. A high rubble garden wall encloses the rear garden.
