Spittal's Hospital, 54 Spittal Street, Stirling

Spittal's Hospital, located at 54 Spittal Street in Stirling, is a 17th-century building that has undergone extensive alterations and was restored in 1959. It is a two-storey structure with a basement, situated on sloping ground, and features six bays. The exterior is roughly stuccoed with painted margins and includes a conical-roofed round stair tower with projecting cills.

On the south elevation facing Spittal Street, the stair tower is positioned to the left of center, featuring an entrance on its west face, a small window on its east face, and a window on the first floor. To the left of the stair tower, there is a small window, with another window above it, and additional windows at both the ground and first floors in the outer bay. To the right, there are windows at the ground and first floors across three bays, along with a door and a small basement window in the outer right.

The north elevation facing Baker Street is harled and consists of four bays with the stair tower on the outer left. The ground level has six bays, with four small blocked windows at the center and a large blocked opening to the right. The entrance is located on the west face of the stair tower at ground level, accompanied by a blocked window on its north face. The upper levels display regular fenestration, with two blocked windows slightly below the first floor and two smaller blocked windows slightly below the second floor.
