Description
This is a 2-span road bridge over the Endrick Water, designed by Walter Paul and dated 1868. The bridge features paired segmental-headed arches and is constructed from coursed rockfaced sandstone, with coursed sandstone soffits and lightly droved ashlar dressings. It includes a band course and squared coping. The wings are slightly buttressed and terminate at pilasters, while cutwaters are present on the central pier. Inside the west parapet, there is a stone plaque that reads, "ERECTED BY THE ROAD TRUST AND A. O. EWING ESQ. 1868 WALTER PAUL, ENGINEER."
