Description

Endrick Bridge, located over the Endrick Water in Balfron, dates from around 1790 and was extended to the east, likely in the early 19th century. This two-span road bridge features paired segmental-headed arches and swept wings. It is constructed from coursed stugged sandstone with droved dressings, including the parapet, and has rockfaced cutwaters on the central pier. The bridge includes arch rings, a band course, and squared coping. On the west span of the bridge, there is a carved stone that reads 'repaired 1838'.
