Description
Flemington Farm is likely a later 19th-century farmhouse and steading arranged in a symmetrical layout. It features stugged red Dumfriesshire ashlar with polished dressings and slate roofs. The building faces south and consists of a two-storey, three-bay house at its center, with the inner bay being gabled and slightly advanced. The ground floor window is set in an arched panel that may have originally served as a pend. There are end stacks, and the flanking steading ranges are almost blind, with 'gun-loop' ventilators. The gables of the outer ranges are set forward. To the west, a tall range closes the courtyard, which includes a segmental-arched cartshed and a loft storey positioned below the eaves.
