Description

Probably built in later 19th century. Farm house and steading in symmetrical lay-out. Stugged red Dumfriesshire ashlar, polished dressings; slate roofs. South-facing; 2-storey 3-bay HOUSE central, its inner bay gabled and shallow advanced, ground floor window set in arched panel which may originally have been a pend; end stacks; flanking STEADING ranges almost blind, with 'gun-loop' ventilators, gables of outer ranges set forward; tall range closing courtyard at W has segmental-arched cartshed and loft storey below eaves.
