3 Kirk Road, Dalserf

1 Kirk Road in Dalserf is a row of three single-storey cottages, likely built in the mid-17th century with later alterations. These cottages form the approach to Dalserf Parish Church and are harled with painted ashlar margins around the openings, which feature blocked cills.

The principal elevation shows No 1 as a 4-bay structure with an architraved boarded door located to the left of centre, and a window in each of the remaining bays. No 3 also has a 4-bay layout, with an architraved door positioned to the right of centre and a window in each of the other bays. No 5 features an architraved door slightly to the left in the central bay, with windows flanking it in each of the other bays.

The rear elevation displays irregular fenestration, with a flat-roofed addition to No 5 and a lean-to corrugated-iron addition to No 1. The side elevation of No 1 has a gabled wall with a window set to the right, which has a restoration plaque dated above it, along with a gablehead stack.

The cottages feature 4-pane timber sash and case windows and small 2-pane roof lights at the rear. They have a grey slate roof with evenly disposed ashlar coped ridge and gablehead stacks, ashlar skews with blocked skewputts, and cast-iron rainwater goods, although some have been replaced with uPVC at the rear.
