Description

The Gaswork Manager's House on Gasworks Road in Biggar dates from around 1840. It is a one-storey building with an attic, constructed from squared coursed rubble with raised droved ashlar dressings and quoins. The eaves course is also made of ashlar, and the roof is slate with straight skews. The house features two windows that have long and short dressings with keystone blocks. Additionally, there are two later flat roof dormers.
