Description

The monument to Robert Brown, located in Bent Cemetery on Bent Road in Hamilton, was attributed to the architect David Bryce and completed in 1856. It features a bronze portrait relief created by Sir John Steel. The monument consists of a large pedestal topped with a segmental sarcophagus that has Baroque detailing. It is made of polished cream sandstone.
