Description
The curfew bell and weathervane at Bell View in Leadhills date back to 1770. They are supported by an open timber pyramid structure made of four struts, featuring low-level horizontal sections and cast iron bolted tension bars. The brass bell is topped with an iron finial and has a rope pull that is held by two iron brackets at the apex. The wrought iron weathervane includes four scrolls at the base, a mid-section with a 'W' arrow, and a flagged arrow at the top, all beneath a plain ball finial.
