Description
41 High Street in Lanark is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar. The ground floor has a modern shop occupying the two left bays, while a pilastered panel is located on the right. A frieze, which is partly concealed by the Boots sign, runs along the top, along with a cornice. On the first floor, there are three windows that have panelled aprons, architraves, and shallow pediments. The building is topped with a main cornice and a blocking course, and it includes two flat-headed dormers that are slate-hung. The roof is covered with slate, and the building features straight skews.
