Description

The Martyrs' Tomb in Barrhill is a pedimented monument located beside the Cross Water, topped with a ball finial. In front of the monument is a stone-walled enclosure. The inscription reads, "Erected anew 1825 to the memory of John Murchie and Daneil Meiklewrick." Additionally, fragments of an older monument with an earlier inscription can be found at the side.
