Description
130-130A Bentinck Drive is an early 20th-century villa that was later subdivided in the 20th century. It features a near-symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay design, with the central bay advanced, and incorporates details reminiscent of the style of Charles Voysey. The exterior is finished in whitewashed harl, with overhanging timber bracketed eaves and a red tile swept piended roof. There is a columnar entrance porch, and a single-storey garage block is located to the west.
On the northeast (entrance) elevation, the columnar porch is centrally positioned at ground level and includes a recessed, part-glazed boarded timber door set within a round arched surround, flanked by opaque-glazed side-lights. The porch is supported by advanced columns that hold up a segmental-arched canopy. Above, there is a tripartite window that breaks the eaves. To the right, there is a four-light glazing row in a bay that is recessed, featuring harled mullions, while to the left, there is a five-light canted window in a similarly recessed bay.
The villa predominantly features four-pane upper and plate glass lower timber sash and case windows. The roof is slightly bell-cast with red tiles, and it has cast-iron rainwater goods. At the rear, there is a whitewashed harl stack with circular cans.
The boundary wall enclosing the front of the site is stepped and finished in whitewashed harl. It is flanked by square-plan harled piers at the entrances on the right and left, although the gates are missing.
