Description

Drumgirnan Bridge is a structure that spans the water of Girvan. It features a segmental flat arch that is trimmed with vermiculated masonry. The keystone of the bridge is dated 1799. The architect responsible for the design is James Rutherford, who also designed the Manse at Daily. Notable decorative elements include a copice mask and a tragic mask on a grotesque head, as well as quatrefoil recesses.
