Description
Greenwell's Booth in Uyeasound, Unst, dates from around 1646 and is a former trading booth that is now a roofless shell, as of 1997. It has a rectangular plan with random rubble walls.
The northeast elevation is near-symmetrical, featuring a rubble forestair that leads to a door centered on the first floor, with blank spaces in the flanking bays. The southeast elevation, which faces the seafront, is asymmetrical, with a wide doorway at the ground floor and a window adjacent to the right, along with another window to the outer right on the first floor. The southwest elevation is symmetrical, dominated by a massive boulder buttress that obscures the ground floor, while the first floor has regular fenestration.
