Description
The Methodist Manse in Walls is a later 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical building with a rear wing that forms an L-plan. The exterior features harl-pointed rubble walls with stugged and droved sandstone dressings.
On the southwest, or principal elevation, the facade is symmetrical with a single-storey gabled porch that projects from the central bay. There are windows in the flanking bays, and the first floor has regular fenestration.
The southeast gable is blank, while the rear elevation includes a piend-roofed wing that advances in the bay to the right. This side also has regular fenestration in the bays to the left.
A modern lean-to addition is present on the northwest gable. The building has modern glazing throughout, and the roof is covered with modern grey tiles, featuring ashlar skew-copes and bracketed skewputts. The gablehead stacks are made of stugged sandstone, topped with copes and circular cans.
