Description
The Hirsel is a large Georgian house made of grey stone, primarily built in the early 18th century. It serves as the seat of the Earl of Home. The house underwent alterations and additions by William Burn in 1851, with further contributions from David Bryce, George Henderson, and James Campbell Walker. Currently, many of the Victorian additions are being demolished. Inside, there is a notable stone staircase located in the central portion of the house.
