Description

19 The Square in Kelso is an earlier 19th century building featuring three bays and three storeys, with a mid-19th century shop at the ground floor. The doors on the left and right have original fanlights, while the central shop window has modern glazing designed to match the original style. A continuous cornice, supported by consoles, runs above the shop front. The upper floors are finished in painted ashlar and include cill courses at the first and second floors, with a reeded band course between the storeys. The building is topped with a cornice and a blocking course, and has a slated roof with two piended dormers in the attic.
