Description

The Border Hotel, located at 12-14 Woodmarket in Kelso, is an earlier 19th-century building that stands four storeys tall and features a five-bay ground floor. The ground level showcases channeled rustication with alternating windows and blind openings. The upper floors are finished in painted ashlar, with cill-courses at the first and second floors, a lintel course at the second floor, and a plain eaves course at what appears to be a later third floor. A large lamp is positioned above the door, supported by a wrought-iron bracket.
