Description
Castle Semple Former Railway Bridge is a single-span, Tudor-arched, castellated bridge built in 1905. It is currently part of a cycle track established in 2011. The bridge is constructed from bullfaced snecked and squared rubble, featuring polished dressings, a moulded arch ring, and chamfered, rusticated quoins. The arch is flanked by advanced corbelled and castellated piers that rise through the parapet, with square terminal piers at either end.
