Description
17-19 Church Street in Lochwinnoch is a former courthouse built in the later 19th century. It is a two-storey, four-bay structure with a single-storey, three-bay house to the southeast. The building features tooled, squared rubble that is part coursed, part snecked, and part cherry-cocked, with ashlar margins. All door and window openings are segmental-headed. The former courthouse has two doors and two ground floor windows, along with four tall first floor windows that have been altered to casements with blind panels above. The house has a central door and all ground floor windows are 12-pane sashes. The building has corniced end stacks and slate roofs.
