It has a parapet adorned with bartizans and is designed as a one-and-a-half storey lodge with an attic. The lodge is partly circular and topped with a conical roof, reflecting the Scots Renaissance style. It was built in 1893 and designed by Leadbetter of the architectural firm Leadbetter and Fairley.
