Description

The Bowling Club Pavilion on Dundee Road in Meigle was built in 1897 and has seen little alteration since its construction. This single-storey building features six bays and has a gabled entrance. It includes a base course and cill courses, with horizontal and diagonal boarding and weatherboard on the side elevations. The pavilion has broad eaves and a central entrance that consists of part-glazed double doors, topped by a gable with a barge-boarded finial. Notable round-arched window openings are present throughout.

The windows are four-light plate glass with round-arched details above and timber glazing bars, designed to slide open between timber linings. The roof is piended, adorned with red ridge brattishing and finials.

Inside, as seen in 2013, the pavilion is timber lined and retains original shelving and seating.
