Description
The walled garden at Ballindean House dates from the 18th century and was remodeled and expanded to the west in the 19th century.
In the west compartment, there are red sandstone walls to the west and north, along with an outer brick wall to the east, while the south side is open. The glasshouse ranges have been demolished, but some foundations remain. There is a free-standing potting shed that is stone-built with a corrugated-iron roof. The mutual boundary wall with Ballindean Nursery Lodge, which is listed separately, is included in the listing, as is a small garden house located above the burn.
The east compartment features a rectangular brick-walled garden that includes a stone-built, two-storey garden house with a pyramidal roof situated at the southwest corner. The southern garden wall is partly made of stone.
