Description
The walled garden and horsemill, part of the stable block at Colquhalzie House, date back to 1834. The west range is designed in a quadrangular layout, featuring a central arch with flat shouldered arches at the ends. The central pend arch has a pediment that was restored after sustaining lightning damage. The building includes tripartite windows and piend roofs at the ends, with one-window links between sections. The east range contains lofted henhouses with wall-steps for the chickens, and there is a well-constructed stable featuring arches. A circular horsemill has been converted into a cottage by John Stewart, which includes a central chimney. Attached to the property is a walled garden with a rubble curved wall that steps down the slope, along with a contemporary sundial.
