Description
The Innerpeffray Library in Crieff is a square, two-storey building with lower U-plan wings to the north at the west end of the church. It is constructed of painted rubble with margins, featuring piended roofs and eaves-cornices. A large Venetian window is located on the south elevation. The library was founded by David, Lord Madderty in 1691, and the building was erected by Archbishop Hay Drummond between 1758 and 1762, with Charles Freebairn of Alloa as the architect and John Feichney as the master mason.
