Description
Weavers Croft is a mid-18th century house with early 19th century additions at the rear. It is a two-storey and attic structure with three bays. The northern elevation features coursers, harled walls, and harled brick at the rear, topped with a slate roof. The northern side has margined windows, with a 6-pane top-hopper window on the ground floor and a 12-pane sash and case window on the first floor. There is a coped dividing wall on the west side and a coped ashlar stack.
On the northern elevation, there is an off-centre door with 6-pane glazing, flanked by two windows, with two more windows symmetrically arranged on the first floor. The southern elevation includes additions such as a single-storey brick lean-to with a piended roof, featuring windows, and a pyramidal-roofed section with a canted window. There is a door leading to the main house, a dormer, and a modern rooflight in the attic, with a coped skew on the east side.
Inside, there are some early 19th century chimneypieces, and a possible 18th century chimneypiece on the ground floor, which includes a basket grate, a swey, a railed mantlepiece, and various initials inscribed on the fireback. The large attic has an external rear entrance.
