Description
Little Millhouse is a later 19th century cottage that has undergone some alterations and additions. It is a single-storey, three-bay T-plan structure featuring a centrally located entrance porch with a pitched roof and boarded door, along with a lean-to addition on the outer left side. The exterior is constructed of harl-pointed rubble.
On the southeast elevation, the entrance porch has a window with a finial above it in the central bay, and there is a boarded door on the left side. Each bay has a window that hugs the eaves. To the left, in the lean-to addition, there is a boarded door set to the right, along with a flat-roofed addition on the outer left.
The cottage features fixed timber-framed windows with 4 and 9 panes. The roof is covered with stone tiles that have cement-filled joints, and there are corniced stacks made of harl-pointed rubble at each gable, topped with replacement tall cans. The property also has cast-iron rainwater goods.
Inside, the layout consists of two main rooms on either side of the porch, with a single room located at the rear. The interior includes boarded doors, flagstone floors, and an original fire surround in the principal room to the northeast.
