Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey with attic, 4-bay rectangular-plan asymmetrical house with crowstepped gable to street, adjoining 2-storey, 3-bay house to W (No 7) and 2-storey 3-bay house to N (No 1), (see notes). Harled.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set, part-glazed, timber panelled door at ground in bay to centre. Window at each floor in bay to right 3-light dormer window above. Window at ground in bay to left. Stair window, set high, in bay to outer left; 3-light dormer window above.

E (DUNDAS STREET) ELEVATION: 2-bay crowstepped gabled elevation. Window offset to right of centre at ground; non-aligned window at 1st floor. Small window to left of gable; gablehead stack above.

12-pane timber sash and case windows; fixed timber-framed stair light. Purple Welsh slate roof; slate to piended dormers; coped harled stacks; cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not fully seen, 1997. Decorative cast-iron sugar-twist banisters; timber handrail.
