Rose Cottage, Park Road, Lamlash

Rose Cottage, located on Park Road in Lamlash, is a single-storey L-plan bungalow designed by Sir John James Burnet and dated 1900. The building features harled brick with tooled red sandstone dressings, a slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles, and distinctive architectural elements such as multi-pane windows at the top and larger pane casements at the bottom, all with prominent cills and lintels. The eaves are bracketted, the gables are crowstepped, and there are coped stacks topped with squat terracotta cans.

The front elevation has two bays that advance to the left, with a door on the right and a window on the left. There is an advanced gable to the right that includes a tripartite window and an inscribed panel above that reads 'AD 1900', along with a window on the left return. The left return gable features a stepped outshot stack and a window, while the right return elevation includes a door and a stack that rises through the eaves.

On the rear elevation, there are two windows to the left. Inside, the interior is plain, with corniced doorcases being the only remaining original features. The property is also enclosed by a rubble boundary wall at the front.
