Hall, Lamlash And Kilbride Parish Church, Shore Road, Lamlash, Arran

The Hall at Lamlash and Kilbride Parish Church, located on Shore Road in Lamlash, Arran, was built around 1880. It is a single-storey, rectangular-plan hall that has been shaped into a T-plan by the addition of lower wings. The building is constructed from coursed, bull-faced red rubble sandstone with ashlar dressings, topped with green slate gambrel roofs featuring crenellated terracotta ridge tiles and finials. It has a deep base course and margined angles, with large six-pane windows that have ashlar margins on the hall, which also includes piended dormerheads. The original moulded timber frame on the left side of the east elevation has been replaced with simpler glazing bars on other windows, and a window on the west side has been blocked. The east wing features bipartite four-pane sash and case windows, while the west wing has a tripartite window. The eaves are deep boarded, and cast-iron rainwater goods are present.

On the northeast elevation, the main hall is advanced at the centre with a blind gable and has three windows on the left return elevation, along with three blocked windows on the right. The lateral wings are set back on both sides; the left wing has a central two-leaf panelled door with a slightly advanced chamfered ashlar doorframe, a pedimented lintel, and a piended dormerhead, flanked by bipartite windows. The right wing features a similar doorpiece on the left and a tripartite window on the right. The interior has not been seen.
