Description
Monk Castle in Dalry is a small Laird's House, likely dating from the early 17th century. Although it is roofless, the walls remain largely intact and are constructed from coarsed stone blocks. The building features crowstepped gables with skews and has a long rectangular plan with a square projecting staircase turret. The low, wide doorway is adorned with three pieces of grotesque sculpture above it, and the ground floor was originally vaulted.
