Description

Smailholm House is a characteristic laird's house from the early 18th century, set within the remnants of its grounds. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands three storeys tall. It features harled and limewashed walls, crow-stepped gables, and carved skews. Inside, there is an interesting staircase with a panelled balustrade.
