Description
Aldessan House is a laird's house built around 1830. It has two storeys with roughcast walls, painted margins, and thin corner pilaster strips. The eaves cornice and slate roof feature end bargeboards and stone stacks, with dormers located at the rear. The entrance is highlighted by a Doric pilaster doorpiece with decorative bosses at the ends of the frieze. The house has sash windows, with glazing bars present only on the rear. A projecting stair with a hipped roof is located on the rear elevation. Additionally, there is a low one-storey cottage range attached to the right gable end.
