Description
This is a single-storey, roughly rectangular-plan, rubble-built Hebridean-type cottage located in the settlement of South Lochboisdale on the Isle of South Uist. It likely dates from the mid to late 19th century and is currently roofless, with the walls intact up to the wallhead as of 2018.
The southwest elevation, which is the principal front, is three bays wide, featuring a central door opening flanked by window openings. Both the northeast (rear) elevation and the northwest elevation have a single window opening each.
The cottage includes two square, rubble-built chimneystacks on the end walls, but there are no visible window frames remaining. The interior shows no visible fixtures or fittings.
