Pollachar Inn, South Uist

Pollachar Inn is a late 18th or early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay inn. Originally, it had a single-storey additional west wing, which was raised to two storeys, likely in the late 19th century. The building is harled. On the south elevation, there is a central porch with a pyramidal roof that serves the three-bay section, with a door located in the re-entrant angle. The lower wing has two bays, and the upper windows feature gabled dormer heads. The glazing is mostly small-paned sashes. The inn has end stacks, straight skews, and slate roofs. There is a modern flat-roofed bar addition to the west that connects the inn with former stables, which are now derelict.
