Description
West Lodge at Brodie Castle was built between 1830 and 1840. It is a single-storey, irregular L-shaped building with a three-bay east-facing frontage that faces the road. The exterior is made of whitewashed rubble with tooled ashlar margins. The building features wide gabled bays on the south and east sides, with a porch located in the re-entrant angle. Some original lying-pane glazing remains, while other windows have been replaced with two- and four-pane designs. The lodge has tall corniced ridge and end stacks, and it is topped with shallow pitched slate roofs that have projecting eaves.
