Goods Shed, Blacksboat Railway Station

Blacksboat Station is a former railway station built in 1863. It is a single-storey, rectangular building with seven bays, constructed from snecked rubble and featuring roughly dressed quoins.

The south elevation is symmetrical and has a broad tripartite central bay that originally included a door and flanking windows, all of which are now blocked. This central section is divided by fluted pilasters with stylised scroll capitals, leading to a frieze that reads 'BLACKSBOAT'. Each of the flanking bays contains three narrow windows.

The west elevation features a gabled design with a boarded timber door and a reinforced glass fanlight to the left. The north elevation has a boarded timber door at the centre, accompanied by a bipartite window to the right and another single window further along. A boundary wall is present at the outer right.

The building has timber casement windows with a horizontal four-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with graded grey slates and features stone ridges. Coped ashlar ridge stacks and ashlar-coped skews with block skewputts are also present.

Inside, all fittings have been removed.

Adjacent to the station is a goods shed with a slated pyramidal roof and a square plan. This structure is horizontally clad in timber and sits on a rubble and coped ashlar base. It features large sliding timber doors on the north, west, and east elevations, with the east side also having an additional window opening. The south elevation has two horizontal windows located close to the eaves.

The platform and boundary walls consist of a flat-coped rubble platform wall to the south of the station building, along with rubble boundary walls.
