Description
This building at 18 High Street, Portknockie, dates from the late 19th century and is a single storey and attic, three-bay house. It features bull-faced rubble construction with rubble flanks and contrasting painted concrete dressings. The central entrance has a panelled door, flanked by bipartite windows. The outer bays have canted wallhead dormers, while the centre has a small gabled dormer with bargeboarding, all topped with decorative cast-iron apex finials. The windows have 2- and 4-pane glazing, including an Art Nouveau coloured glazed panel in the lower portion of the ground floor sashes on the west side. The house has coped end stacks and a slate roof. There is a blocked door in the east gable.
