Description
Marypark is an asymmetrical, two-storey house dating from 1844, likely designed by Thomas Mackenzie. The house faces south with three bays and is constructed of granite with tooled pink granite dressings. A porch is located near the centre of the facade, featuring a round-headed doorway and a crowstepped gable within the re-entrant angle formed by a shallow, projecting gabled bay to the left. Two first-floor windows break the wallhead below the crowstepped gablets. Single ground-floor windows are present in the return gables. A rear wing is also present, and the re-entrant angle at the rear is filled with a lean-to extension. The windows are largely fitted with lying-pane glazing. End stacks have pronounced copes, and the roof is slate-covered. The statutory address is Marypark Farmhouse.
