Description
This circa 1800 structure is a single-storey building forming a hollow square, built into a west-facing slope. The main elevations face north and west. The walls are harled with contrasting painted ashlar margins. The north and west elevations have an irregular four-bay arrangement, with two doorways in the north face and a large, squat wallhead stack serving a fish-house on the west side. The windows are fitted with four-pane glazing, and the building has piended slate roofs. Two vaulted ice-houses, which have been somewhat altered, are located to the north of the station and are not included in this listing. The building ceased to be used as a salmon fishing station in 1988. The statutory address is 4 Findhorn, Former Salmon Station.
