Description
117-119 and 121 High Street in Elgin is a building from the later 19th century, featuring three storeys and three bays. The exterior is made of coursed stugged ashlar with polished ashlar dressings. There are two modern shop fronts and a narrow flat-arched entrance leading to a pend. The first floor includes two canted oriel windows and a central window with a mullion and transom. The main façade showcases three pedimented and pilastered bipartite windows, which break through the cornice and are linked by an arcaded parapet, flanked by urns. The building is topped with rose and thistle finials and has a slate roof. The paved pend provides access to a three-storey gabled rear wing, which features a Roman Doric engaged columned doorpiece and two oblong rear stair windows adorned with Art Nouveau stained glass.
