Description

Earlier-mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay villa. Rubble, squared and coursed on W elevation; ashlar dressings. Base course. Cill course at 1st floor. Eaves cornice and blocking course. Raised angle margins.

E (ESKBANK ROAD) ELEVATION: consoled corniced canopy to architraved door at centre; plate glass fanlight. Regular fenestration to ground and 1st floors. Cast-iron window guards with anthemion and palmette design to 1st floor windows in outer bays.

N ELEVATION: window to centre at ground. Window to left at 1st floor.

8-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. Grey slates to piend and platform roof. Corniced wallhead stacks at centre to N and S.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: semicircular coped rubble retaining wall; coping forms overthrow to pedestrian gate. 2 square ashlar piers, corniced and pyramidal-capped.
